Our History

The Scheible Group was actually started in 1995 offering network engineering and ERP implementation support .  The company was initially founded and focused on technology and practice solutions.   The business was in hiatus during the early 2000's when it was resurrected with a new business model based upon many years of observation and experience in working for large and small companies,  Federal Agencies,  consulting firms, and financial institutions in multiple manufacturing, service, IT, networking and Government businesses.   Those experiences and the professionals relationships created during those years established the baseline for the current  version of the Scheible Group.

William (Bill) Scheible has a long and distinguished career in the information technology world, including specializing in communications, project management, and systems engineering. His international technical expertise has encapsulated all facets of information networking technologies and systems development at all levels, as well as multiple facets of information security (including cyber and privacy). His management experience has included over 30 years of middle/senior technical and consulting leadership, including a senior VP management role in a NYSE listed firm. Bill also leveraged his technical and business experiences into several successful sales/account management positions.

Beginning with Cupertino, CA based Tymshare/Tymnet helping build international timesharing and packet switching systems, Bill later moved to Bank of America doing network architecture and high-volume transaction processing designs. Returning to Tymshare, Bill managed the on-line credit card transaction processing for its Visa/Mastercard subsidiary. He later managed the Tymnet/Tymshare corporate training department, making it a line of business, before moving to Washington D.C. and federal sales for Tymnet. Bill later joined Sprint International, leading its worldwide technical training department, before assuming the MIS director role for the Sprint/Alcatel network venture which later faltered.

Following several years of independent ERP and Network consulting, Bill joined Transaction Network Services as Senior Vice President of IT and CIO. The company was shortly acquired by an internet provider and Bill joined the MITRE Corporation in McLean, VA.

In his years at MITRE, Bill worked major systems development and acquisitions efforts with the  USG intelligence community, all major components of DoD, Department of Home Land Security, and many independent Federal and State agencies. The scope of the work was broad and included classified data management programs, geo-spatial engineering/collection/analysis, SATCOM engineering, and multiple ERP implementations and various research efforts.  He also supported several Government health care management efforts, multiple DoD tactical programs, Army wide personnel and UC implementations, and support for federal law enforcement wireless and global communications networks. He retired from MITRE in April of 2024.

Bill holds CISSP, ESEP and SEQM certifications.  He  is an IEEE Senior/Life member,  and an INCOSE Senior member.   Listed in Who's Who in America, he is also an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus.
